Second Sun is the artist name of Jacob Rasmussen, a musician, producer and sound artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Rasmussen is a Master in Musicology from the University of Copenhagen, and has played with countless acts on small and big stages, in a broad variety of genres.

What

The sound of Second Sun presents ambient soundscapes, cinematic impressions, and ethereal textures. It is reflective and unhurried, and creates musical and emotional spaces for the listener to deep-dive into - sometimes with a beat, sometimes not.

How

Second Sun works mostly with hardware instruments such as modular synthesizers, tape machines, and effects pedals, thus affording the computer a backseat in the creative process.

His workflow is intuitive, exploratory and reflective, and revolves around creating atmospheres and sonic spaces.
